Srdečně vás zveme na páteční večer s další osobností litoměřického regionu – fotografem Rainerem Bachem, jehož tvorba zkoumá architekturu, lidskou (ne)přítomnost a pomíjivost v čase. Vydáme se do hlubin zamyšlení nad tím, jak se člověk pohybuje časem a jak prostor kolem nás vytváří kulisy našeho života – scénu, která nás přesahuje a trvá napříč generacemi.
Rainer představí svou cestu od zachycování krásy litoměřické architektury až po současné téma „passage in time“, kde se fotografie stává mapou lidských etap, přítomnosti i odcházení. Tuto mapu rozvíjí v pěti kapitolách, do kterých se společně vydáme.
Součástí večera bude také vernisáž fotografické série Aging is gift vytvořené pro konferenci Na mou duši s letošním tématem Věk je dar. Rainer v ní zachytil atmosféru druhé poloviny lidského života – cestu ke svobodě, radosti, postupné opouštění rodinných a pracovních rolí a přesun od vnějšího světa k vnitřnímu.
Vstoupíte do osobního příběhu i fotografické reflexe. Rainer, původem z Německa, dříve působil ve firemním prostředí jako konzultant, ale fotografie ho postupně zcela pohltila. Dnes žije se svou ženou Alenou v Býčkovicích. Do regionu se přestěhovali před několika lety a postupně se stali součástí místní tvůrčí komunity. Dnes učí na škole Lingua Universal v Litoměřicích a spolu s Alenou, která vede keramický ateliér, mají společný tvůrčí prostor v Terezíně.
Večerem provede Petra Sýkorová, která se dlouhodobě věnuje tématu kvality života v kontextu životních etap, je členkou pořadatelského týmu konference Na mou duši a v rámci svého letošního měsíčního studia v Indii vedla řadu rozhovorů s lidmi z třetí etapy jejich života. Společně s Rainerem otevřou prostor pro dialog, otázky a sdílení.
Možná se dozvíme, jak se Rainer vlastně dostal do Čech, co ho učarovalo na Litoměřicích, proč se jejich ateliér přesunul do Terezína – a jaké fotografické sny ho ještě čekají.
Večer bude probíhat v angličtině s překladem, o který se postará Rainerova žena, Alena Bachová.

An evening talk and exhibition with photographer Rainer Bach
We warmly invite you to a Friday evening with another remarkable personality of the Litoměřice region – photographer Rainer Bach, whose work explores architecture, human (non)presence and the quiet transience of time.
Together, we will dive into a deeper reflection on how human life moves through time and how the spaces around us create the backdrop of our existence – a stage that transcends us and endures across generations.
Rainer will present his journey from capturing the beauty of Litoměřice architecture to his current theme, “passage in time”, where photography becomes a map of human stages, presence and departure. This map unfolds in five chapters, which we will explore together.
The evening will also include the vernissage of the photographic series Aging is a Gift, created for the conference Na mou duši with this year’s theme Age is a Gift. In this series, Rainer captures the atmosphere of the second half of human life – the path toward freedom, joy, the gradual letting go of family and work roles, and the shift from the outer world to the inner one.
You will enter both a personal story and a photographic reflection. Originally from Germany, Rainer previously worked in the corporate world as a consultant, but photography gradually became his full-time calling. Today, he lives with his wife Alena in Býčkovice. They moved to the region several years ago and have since become part of the local creative community. Rainer teaches at the Lingua Universal school in Litoměřice, and together with Alena, who runs a ceramics studio, they share a creative space in Terezín.
The evening will be hosted by Petra Sýkorová, who has long focused on quality of life in the context of life stages, is part of the organizing team of the Na mou duši conference, and during her month-long study stay in India this year conducted a series of interviews with people in the third stage of life. Together with Rainer, she will open a space for dialogue, questions and shared reflection.
Perhaps we will learn how Rainer first came to the Czech Republic, what enchanted him about Litoměřice, why their studio moved to Terezín – and what photographic dreams still lie ahead.
The evening will be held in English with translation provided by Rainer’s wife, Alena Bachová.
